fencing to protect your property from ticks

Each year, tick awareness is increased. With the spread of Lymes disease and the increasing number of other diseases that these little insects spread, people are doing more to put a stop to the ticks from invading their outdoor living areas. If you have deer that are constantly passing through your property, you could have an increased number of ticks infesting your lawn. This was an issue that I was having. After having a fence installed to keep the deer out of my yard, I have seen far fewer ticks and have not picked one off of myself or my kids. About Barbed Wire Fencing

If you have a lot or a business that you want to have a chain link fence installed around that also has barbed wire at the top of the fence, then you want to make sure you are prepared for the responsibilities that come with owning this type of fence. The information here will give you the knowledge you need before you follow through with a chain link fence with barbed wire.

Barbed wire is a deterrent

When putting up a chain link fence with barbed wire, you will be doing it as a deterrent for those who would normally climb the fence to steal or vandalize your property. Barbed wire works by making it extremely difficult for someone to climb over the fence because their clothes will be snagged on the barbed wire, and they will more than likely be injured by it as well.

Barbed wire is mostly for industrial areas

A chain link barbed wire fence will more than likely not be permitted in a residential neighborhood. If there are no city ordinances against it, this may be because no one in that area has tried to install it before. This means, you may be the reason for an ordinance being created because your neighbors will more than likely complain and it can cause the housing prices around you to go down, making it more difficult for neighbors to sell their homes for what they should normally be worth. Plus, barbed wire in a residential neighborhood is a real eye sore.

There may be extenuating circumstances that allow you to get city approval for the use of a barbed wire chain link fence. If you can prove it is a necessity, then you may be given the go ahead.

In an industrial area, you aren't likely to be the only company that has taken this approach to protect your business from falling prey to criminal behavior. In fact, if you are one of just a few businesses in the area that don't have a chain link barbed wire fence, then you will significantly increase your odds of being victimized.

There are legal requirements for barbed wire fencing

When you are having a chain link barbed wire fence put up, you need to be sure you follow the requirements. There may be requirements that need to be followed with regards to how many barbed wires you can have, how high the barbed wire needs to be from the ground, the size of the barbs, as well as the need to have the wires properly attached to a certain number of posts.
