fencing to protect your property from ticks

Each year, tick awareness is increased. With the spread of Lymes disease and the increasing number of other diseases that these little insects spread, people are doing more to put a stop to the ticks from invading their outdoor living areas. If you have deer that are constantly passing through your property, you could have an increased number of ticks infesting your lawn. This was an issue that I was having. After having a fence installed to keep the deer out of my yard, I have seen far fewer ticks and have not picked one off of myself or my kids. Unique Fencing Options For Your Backyard: Ideas For You

When you decide that the time has finally come to fence in your un-fenced backyard or to replace your tired, old fence, you may be wondering what options you have available to you to for your new fence. Of course, if you are also looking for a new fence that is unique and stylish, the challenge can be even greater. Get to know some of the fencing options that can allow you to be unique and different so that you can hire your fence contractor and get your project started as soon as possible.

Vinyl Fencing

Vinyl fencing offers you a wide variety of style and color options, making it one of the best fencing choices for you and your backyard. You can get vinyl fencing that resembles a stone wall or a brick fence.

The fence manufacturer can make the vinyl panels to your exact specifications. You can add wood-like fence posts, lattice work, grids, or criss-cross posts, making your vinyl fence entirely one-of-a-kind and perfect for your home design.

Bamboo Stalk Fencing

If you prefer a rustic look to your home and your fence to go along with it, then you may want to consider a natural fencing product like bamboo stalks. When harvested, the bamboo stalks can be cut into any length and can be lined together to form a fence for you.

You simply need to purchase pre-dried bamboo stalks and rope or twine to secure them together once they are lined up. This very basic bamboo fence can be both functional and unique looking. Other options include pre-made bamboo fence panels that include wood supports on the sides and top of the panels as well as options for latticework and the like.

Recycled Materials Fencing

Another option for you and your new backyard fence is to make your fence out of recycled or reused materials. For example, you can use old wine and other glass bottles that have been cleaned out to make a one-of-a-kind fence.

You can crush the bottles up and mix them into cement mix to create stones to build your fence. On the other hand, the bottles can be kept whole to make a "bottle fence." You simply need to drill a hole in the bottom of the bottles and run metal poles or rebar through them. These form the fence posts and can be lined up together and framed with metal or wood.

Other recycled materials that can create unique fences include old bicycles, sheet metal, old doors, or even tree stumps. With a little creativity and vision, any of these recycled materials can be used to create a fence that will secure your backyard and be a focal point in your landscaping design.

With these unique fencing options in mind, you can select the type of fence you want for your backyard and get started on your fencing project as soon as possible. Talk to a fencing contractor, like Mr Fence, to learn more.
